Guitar strings: The guitar strings symbolise my passion for making and listening to music. When I am sitting on the sofa, I often pick up my guitar to relax for a while. Music has been instilled in me, both making and listening to it.
Lego cars: My love for Lego started in primary school, and although I built a bit less lego later on, it started itching again when I became an adult! I have since collected dozens of these lego cars and I am far from finished.
Calculator: Maths and logic play an important role for me, from my studies at TU Delft until now. This calculator got me through both high school and my studies, now it symbolises my passions for all sorts of things around maths and logic.
Beer: During my studies, I worked at a small Amsterdam pub. What fun, and often a closing drink. I tasted many special beers there and am still a big fan of them.
Game controller: Although I don’t game often, games have had a big impact on my life. My parents preferred having my 3 brothers and I in the living room rather than in our own rooms. Hence, there used to be a lot of gaming in the living room with all the brothers. Nowadays, I still sporadically play games by myself, but when there is time, my brothers and I play online with or against each other. It’s almost as cosy as it used to be at my parents’ house.
